Playstation update 3.15 brought PS3 owners the" Data Transfer Utility" which permits you to directly transfer information from one PS3 to another (even locked game saves) WOW! this sounds to good to be true, yep it is.

From what I have read, the files from the PS3 that they are transferred from are either erased or rendered unusable.
So again the person who owns or wants to own 2 or more PS3
and wants to use the game saves between consoles is SOL.

On the bright side I suppose, if your current PS3 has recently
suffered YLOD and you can not stand the thought of sending it off to Sony or any other repair service,you might try bringing it back to life by re-flowing the GPU & CPU,and Then purchase a new PS3 and transfer your information too it.

So as my title says: Thanks Sony for kinda sorta trying to help.

BUT PLEASE DON'T STOP TRYING!!
