Sony has filed a patent for a type of demo that starts out REALLY awesome… and then gets shitty(er) over as time goes on. The only way to make it better again is to PURCHASE the game now that you are hooked on its degrading nature.
The above picture was filed with the U.S. patent office by SCEA and points at a system in which a free demo could be given out to children in order to get them hooked. Once they are, the demo begins to fade until it is a boring and unexciting version of its former self. At this point Sony will be happy to make everything awesome again. You just gots to pay first. It reminds us of a very similar diagram submitted to the patent office by Columbian drug lords in the mid 80’s:
When this comes out, I plan on getting “DEMOED” off my ass!



So do they for some reason think that people are continuously playing their small list of demos instead of buying full retail releases? I could understand that if they had more than 20 demos available.
