Have you ever considered purchasing a used Xbox 360? at GameStop? If so, DON’T!
As we all know, many 360s were effectively banned from Xbox LIVE due to being “Modded”. This makes them unusable online PERIOD. You wouldn’t want to buy a used system anywhere and bring it home only to find out it doesn’t play games online.. or have access to NetFlix etc. You would want to be 100% sure that the used system you are buying is legit. Right?
The BEST way is to see the system connect to Xbox LIVE before you purchase it. Then you know for sure. However, some would have you believe that the “warranty sticker” located under the faceplate is a sure sign of the console’s modding virginity. Well… watch this:
So who do you turn to in these dark ages? GameStop? Surely THEY have a foolproof method of detecting the modded systems. I mean, they are buying and selling them on a daily basis. Yet, they don’t have internet access… so what is the “secret” method they use?
GameGamePOW.com asked a few stores that very question:

If its pink that means blood OMFG HILARIOUS!!!!
Absolutely, 100% true. Surprised no one gave you the “install a game to the hard drive” method but one early in the video did make a passing reference to an “external hard drive”.
i would never buy a console from gamestop, I buy my stuff from bestbuy, plus i only play ps3.
