Game Informer did a review for Aliens VS. Predator and (as usual) threw an arbitrary number on the review for the people who prefer to look at numbers without explanation as opposed to reading. Nathan Schmidt isn’t one of THOSE people however. He actually read the entire review of Aliens VS. Predator in which Game informer gave it a 5.75 out of 10.00. Nathan is FURIOUS that the game received such a low score and can’t fathom as to why. He even wrote an angst ridden counter article in response where he was quoted to say: “Game Informers official review of Aliens Vs. Predator hit the internets today and it is not pretty. Not only was I shocked at the superbly low 5.75/10 that the game got, I was equally shocked to learn that my chronic bed wetting is a direct result of my visiting my uncle as a child and hanging out in his “game room” in the cellar . Is GI possibly in a competitors pocket and trying to clear the way for bigger shooters that are releasing in the beginning of next month? Could I possibly come up with a more obscure and non-factual conspiracy theory to back up my personal fanboyisms related to this IP??”

WHAT YOU KNOW:
-You like the Alien movies
-You like the Predator movies
-You (unfortunately) like the “AVP” movies
-You haven’t played this game yet
-You will play this game no matter what reviews say… so your point is lost.
-When you DO play this game, you will no doubt back up every uneducated statement you made prior to the games release as a way of validating yourself as a “journalist”.
WHAT YOU DON’T KNOW:
-Anything
-Anything about the author of the review
-Anything about the inner-workings of Game Informer
-Anything about how the game plays other than what the broken demo has shown you
In closing, prepubescent anger can be tough to deal with. It’s REALLLLY tough when you live in the mid west where inbreeding is so popular. It can cause people to get REALLLLY MAAEEED and yell.. or even whine online. We shouldn’t make fun of this affliction, but what fun would that be? We need people like Nathan ERBER to remind us that anyone with both a console and a website is basically a “Video Game Journalist”.
